The story of Elonesh, is truly a story of miracles. Diagnosed with Potocki Shaffer Syndrome, Elonesh embarked on the wellness journey of the Doman Method® Program as an infant. When Elonesh's parents initiated the Doman Method® Program, their son faced a myriad of challenges. Blind, completely deaf, and immobile, Elonesh was trapped in a world of silence and darkness. Dealing with the diagnosis of Profound, Diffuse, Bilateral, Midbrain injury, the road ahead seemed daunting. However, his parents, armed with determination and fueled by love, embarked on a mission to unlock Elonesh's potential with the help of brain development therapy.
The initial hurdles were immense, but Elonesh's parents refused to be daunted. Their relentless efforts bore fruit as Elonesh gradually began to break free from his physical and sensory constraints. From being unable to cry and having no use of his hands, Elonesh evolved into a child who could now see, hear, and move. His last evaluation by Doman International, marked a milestone in his progress – he could creep on hands and knees, cruise, read, and understand at age level. The transformation was nothing short of miraculous.
Elonesh's journey took a decisive turn with the YaraStar Scholarship, awarded in April 2022. This scholarship became the key to allowing the family to continue the next chapter of his development. With this support, Elonesh's parents were able to enroll him in an intense balance program, a crucial step towards achieving independent walking. The scholarship also provides access to advanced programs in math, reading, general knowledge, communication, and the respiratory program through the Doman Method.
