Growing in Focus & Understanding- Qin’s Journey

A Home Built Around Daily Effort and Care

Qin’s parents are closely involved in every part of his program, dedicating up to six focused hours each day to implementing it at home. With an older sibling on the autism spectrum, the family already understands the importance of structure, observation, and individualized support.

Through their work with Doman International, Qin’s program was designed to address how his body processes information—supporting digestion, sensory regulation, and attention alongside learning and behavior.

“We were lost and hope the program helps us to navigate through the mental state of health for both parents and child.”- Qin’s Mom

Support That Sustains the Journey

When the family began the Doman Method, they carried both uncertainty and hope. A scholarship from YaraStar Foundation helped make it possible for them to continue the program with consistency and focus.

YaraStar’s support did not remove the work required but it helped the family remain steady in it. By easing the cost of ongoing participation, the scholarship allowed Qin’s parents to stay committed to daily implementation and long-term planning.

Meaningful Steps Forward

Today, Qin recognizes all his letters and numbers. He produces a wider range of meaningful sounds to express his needs and wants. His attention and focus have improved, and he listens more consistently to his parents.

His tailored program includes reading and social understanding, helping him learn what others expect and how to respond. A clear code of conduct supports better behavior and healthier relationships at home, while auditory and tactile activities gently address his sensitivity to sounds and textures.

Looking Ahead With Steady Hope

As Qin grows, his family hopes he will continue building skills that help him connect, learn, and keep pace with peers. His program will evolve alongside him, meeting new challenges with the same careful support.

Qin’s journey shows how steady guidance and sustained support can strengthen a child’s ability to engage with the world.
