Viansh’s Voice: Courage in the Face of Cerebral Palsy

Viansh is five-year-old but his determination and curiosity are shaping a childhood filled with learning and movement. Viansh lives with cerebral palsy, and because of the challenges that presented, from early on, his development required thoughtful support and consistent practice. Today, his days reflect something powerful: progress that is visible, practical, and deeply rooted in family commitment.

A Family Moving Together

Viansh lives in a multigenerational home with his parents, grandparents, and older brother—each playing a role in his daily rhythm. His parents are fully dedicated to his development, with one parent able to give extended time each day. Together, the family offers up to six focused hours of support, turning therapy into shared purpose rather than isolated work.

With guidance from Doman International, Viansh’s program is built around reading, breathing, and movement—foundations that strengthen how his brain and body work together.

Support That Made Continuity Possible

As Viansh’s program progressed, the cost of continuing posed a challenge. In the Fall of 2024, a scholarship from YaraStar Foundation helped the family remain consistent with the work already underway, thereby protected their progress. With fewer financial pressures, the family could stay focused on Viansh’s daily routines and long-term goals.

Progress That Shows Up in Everyday Life

Viansh’s growth has been both encouraging and tangible. He is now an excellent reader, speaks confidently in full sentences, and moves independently on a flat floor. His manual skills have improved, allowing him to engage more fully in play and daily activities.

Through a combination of reading practice, respiratory support, and floor-based movement, Viansh is becoming more independent and expressive. These gains have reshaped daily life—bringing more confidence, more communication, and more joy.

Looking Ahead With Optimism

The family’s hopes are clear: reduced muscle tightness, stronger movement, continued cognitive growth, and clearer communication. They envision Viansh stepping more fully into who he is becoming.

“When new parents get a Cerebral Palsy diagnosis, the most important thing is to be strong and very optimistic. There’s always hope.”- Viansh’s Mom

Viansh’s journey reminds us that knowing what to do, and with steady support a cerebral palsy story over time can be changed.
