Jyest’s Journey with Autism
Three-year-old Jyest’s journey with autism has been filled with challenges, but also with resilience and lots of breakthroughs. Before the family began the Doman Method program, daily life was often overwhelming: crying spells, sensitivity to sounds, and struggles with focus made even simple routines difficult. With help from a YaraStar Foundation scholarship, his family was able to continue the Advanced Doman Method program & on the program, Jyest’s world opened in extraordinary ways.
Jyest now smiles brightly without frustration
In the early days, Jyest’s family felt stuck. His mother, who serves as his primary caregiver on the Doman Method program, recalls how he would follow her everywhere, even to the washroom, fearful to be apart. Social interaction was nearly absent, and his running and stamina were limited. “Everyday life was unpredictable,” his parents shared. “We didn’t know how to help him find calm or focus.”
In August, YaraStar’s scholarship opened the door for Jyest to continue the Advanced Doman Method through Doman International. This program, rooted in early intervention and whole-child development, became a lifeline for his family.

“Jyest is more independent and is able to follow many instructions,” his mother says with joy. “He is interacting with family members and loves the program.”
The changes have been remarkable. Jyest now waits patiently instead of crying when his mom steps away. His vocabulary has expanded, his social skills have blossomed, and his physical coordination has improved. A staff coach notes, “His stamina and endurance have improved drastically. His understanding is much better, and he follows all the instructions now.”
Every step forward whether in speech, running, or connecting with others, celebrates Jyest’s potential. His upcoming advanced respiration and physical programs will only build on this foundation.
As Jyest’s story shows, support for children with autism development programs can transform not only a child’s daily life but also a family’s future. At YaraStar, we believe every child is a gift, filled with great potential. With each step Jyest takes, we are reminded of the hope that shines brightest when we as a community walk alongside these families.
