Breaking Barriers with Cerebral Palsy: Nina’s Story of Hope
At just 14 years old, Nina’s smile shines brighter than any challenge she faces. Living with Cerebral Palsy, a condition that causes damage or disruption in brain areas responsible for muscle control, she has endured physical pain and financial setbacks that could have halted her progress. With the right support, Nina’s journey moves forward with renewed hope.

A Family’s Steady Dedication
For nearly a decade, Nina’s parents have poured their hearts into her growth, following the Doman Method program with tireless devotion as they know firsthand how beneficial it has been to Nina’s overall wellbeing.
Her mother, Kristine, spends hours each day supporting Nina’s exercises while also caring for her younger brother. Her father works hard as the sole provider, ensuring the family can keep moving forward, even through the financial struggles brought on by the pandemic.
Keeping the Program Going
In February 2023, YaraStar Foundation decided to award Nina a scholarship to ease the financial strain so she could continue her program with Doman International. This support allowed her family to keep their focus on her therapy rather than worrying about each expense.

Progress in Motion
With her family cheering her on, Nina has made steady improvements in her mobility and hand use. Small victories such as a stronger grip, smoother movement, greater confidence, remind her parents daily that progress, though slow, is always possible and worth pursuing no matter what.
Nina’s journey is a testament to steady effort and love. Every new milestone she reaches is more than progress, it’s a picture of hope carried forward. And for her family, each day Nina keeps moving ahead is worth celebrating. Nina’s journey shows that with long-term therapy support, even with Cerebral Palsy, she can keep reaching new milestones.
YaraStar Foundation celebrates Nina not for what she can or cannot do, but for who she is: a beloved child with a radiant spirit and endless potential. We remain committed to honoring every child as a gift, walking alongside families like Nina’s as they pursue brighter tomorrows.
