Consistency Leads to Strength and Growing Understanding- Teodor’s Story
Teodor is only eight-year-old, but his days are shaped by laser focus programs, courageous effort, and remarkable consistency. Teodor lives with autism, and while progress did not come overnight, it has been built carefully—one routine, one skill, one determined attempt at a time. What stands out most about Teodor is not just what he is learning, but how faithfully he shows up for the work each day.
A Family Fully Invested in the Journey
Teodor lives with his parents, who have made his development a shared priority. His father describes their involvement simply and clearly: they are “100%” committed. Up to eight hours each day are devoted to Teodor’s program, supported by clear guidance, examples, and videos that help the family stay aligned and confident.
Through their partnership with Doman International, Teodor’s program was shaped to support language, sensory processing, movement, and understanding—areas that require patience and repetition to grow.
Support That Made Continuity Possible
While the family was deeply committed, the cost of continuing the program was significant relative to their income. In the Fall of 2024, support from YaraStar Foundation made it possible for Teodor’s program to continue without interruption.
This support did not change the family’s effort—it allowed them to keep going with steadiness and focus, ensuring Teodor could stay engaged in the work already producing results.
Progress Built on Daily Practice
Today, Teodor types many words and is reading far more than before. His understanding continues to grow, and his behavior has become more regulated, with fewer outbursts. Physically, he is running longer distances, learning to hang from a bar, and building strength and stamina that support independence.
His tailored program includes breathing exercises to support language output, crawling and creeping to strengthen sensory perception and coordination, structured reading for vocabulary and comprehension, and listening activities that help him process sound more consistently.

Determination as the key to greater success
The family’s hopes are clear: continued cognitive growth, reduced auditory sensitivity, and the emergence of spoken language. With Teodor’s strong cooperation and daily effort, the foundation for these goals is already being laid.
Teodor’s journey shows how knowing what to do, and consistently doing it, can shape an autism recovery progress over time. If this autism journey encouraged you, consider sharing it with another family to show steady growth is possible for their child.
